Shipping policy

By placing an order with Ars Ænigmæ (aenigmae.com) you agree to these terms and conditions.

We will do everything possible to assist with delivery issues but have no control over a package once passed to the carrier. Ownership of order items transfers to the customer when the package is picked up by the carrier. We are not responsible for theft, opened boxes or damage. Any delay, damage, or failure to deliver is the responsibility of the carrier. The customer agrees to arbitrate any delivery issues with the carrier.

We ship orders to the mailing address provided during checkout. It is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate information. We are not responsible for any delivery issues caused by inaccurate shipping information.

We require phone numbers on orders as that is often the way a courier will attempt to reach you in the event of any issues, questions, or delays. This is especially true of international shipments going through customs.

Domestic Shipping

We strongly recommend Priority Mail or UPS. We are not liable for lost packages shipped by any method that does not provide tracking.

Please contact your local carrier facility if your package has been marked as delivered but you have not received it.

International Shipping

We strongly recommend Priority Mail International or UPS since they provide full tracking. International Parcel Post does not include tracking and the customer has no recourse for lost packages. We are not liable for lost packages shipped by any method that does not provide tracking.

We are not responsible for any delays, damage, costs, fees, taxes, or other international customs agencies' actions. We are not able to make you aware of these agencies or their actions. Please check with your country's customs office to determine their procedures. The customer is responsible for all taxes and duties imposed by their country of residence.

Damage caused by customs inspection is at the recipient's sole liability, who should seek reimbursement from the customs authorities in their country which caused the damage. We will, on some occasions and at our discretion, assist in making the customer whole for any such damage.

If an uncollected package is returned to us, we will not refund the charge for the original shipping, and you will be liable for the cost of a reshipment. Should you refuse to pay for the reshipment cost, we will refund your order minus a 20% restocking fee. Returned orders damaged in transit may not be eligible for a refund; this choice is at our sole discretion.

We shall in any case only be liable for the factually declared value of items shipped.

UK Shipping Restrictions

Due to Brexit restrictions we will no longer ship parcels valued under £135 (approx. $150 USD, subject to exchange rate) to the UK.
